The Cooloola Coast Cemetery was established in 1987. It is located on Rainbow Beach Road, Cooloola Cove in Queensland in north east Australia.
The cemetery has Monumental, Lawn and Columbarium sections with over 100 headstones and plaques. The transcription was completed in 2004 by Jackie Buttress.
These inscriptions are presented in PDF format. This will mean that searching for your ancestor will be a little different from using our standard search. You will need to use precise text search terms but we’ve provided a few tips to help you with get started.
Searches must be for exact words or phrases occurring within the text. It’s important to use the spelling as it would appear in the document. All search results will bring you directly to the page where your search term can be found.
To search for your ancestor by name the same applies. For example, if you were looking for a Bobby Bill Smith you could look for Robert William Smith or simply Robert Smith.
If you are searching by date then please note that dates appear in the format day month year and that months have been abbreviated. So if you wanted to search for burials from November 25th 1905 you would search for 25 Nov 1905.
If you put a phrase or a name in inverted commas then the search will look for the words in the order you have them rather than looking for each word individually. For example “Robert William Smith”.
